Our Guest for "Cooking With Milwaukee Community Leaders" is Ricardo Diaz. Ricardo has had a long career in public service and nonprofit work, including leading Milwaukee’s economic development efforts and overseeing its housing programs.
He is best known in Milwaukee for his work at the social service agency, United Community Center (UCC) as the Executive Director (twice). So much so, that they named the Ricardo Diaz Early Learning Academy after him when he retired. His work at UCC has positively impacted the lives of those who were served.
Ricardo tells us how he makes Sweet Plantains and Tostones, along with black beans and Cuban rice.

From our elected leaders to those working at the grassroots, we talk with people trying to make Milwaukee a better place.
