In this week's "Cooking with Milwaukee Community Leaders" segment, we speak with Rep. Gwen Moore (WI-4), Congresswoman for Milwaukee in the US House of Representatives. Rep Moore is a 10-term congresswoman and the dean of the Wisconsin delegation. She is not only a Milwaukee Community Leader, she is a National Community Leader.
Congresswoman Moore shows us how she makes Roasted Bell Peppers. They are stuffed with Spanish Rice and Black Beans, and topped with Monterey Jack Cheese. The rice is cooked with Vegetable stock. Then it is added to a tomato-based aromatic broth with garlic and onions.

Bria Grant is our guest for "Cooking with Milwaukee Community Leaders". Bria shows us how she puts these Fried Green Tomatoes together and prepares a tasty Remoulade Sauce for the BLTs.
As the Executive Director of UNITEWI, Bria is passionate about improving the health outcomes of populations by addressing social determinants of health and strengthening the workforce of Community Health Workers (CHWs). With a Bachelor's degree in Human Services from Springfield College and over 20 years of experience in business consulting, community development, strategic planning, and workforce development, Bria has developed and implemented strategies that promote health equity and social justice in Wisconsin and beyond.

Our guest for Cooking with Milwaukee Community Leaders is Milwaukee Mayor Cavalier Johnson. Mayor Johnson took office as Acting Mayor of the City of Milwaukee in late 2021 and set out immediately to build a safer city. He has prioritized violence reduction, economic development, and roadway safety. Before taking on his role as Acting Mayor, Johnson served as Common Council President while representing the city’s 2nd Aldermanic District.
In April of 2022, Mayor Johnson was elected as the forty-fifth chief executive of the City of Milwaukee, winning with more than seventy percent of the vote. He is the first Black Mayor elected in the city and only the fourth elected mayor in the past sixty-two years.
The Mayor shows us how he makes Copycat McDonald's Breakfast Sandwiches. The special guest taste tester is the Mayor's son, Oliver
